The Google Drive App

If you haven’t downloaded the Google Drive App it’s probably time you do. I can’t say it is perfect yet, they are still tweaking things, but it is very handy to have a fast way of getting into all your Google Docs easily on your iPad. I found this article about iPad workflow for teachers and thought I’d share it with you.

Social media curation

On the links page I am suggesting a range of social media curation sites in order to start building your own Personal Learning Network (PLN) about iPads and how they can be used. I just read this article and thought it was interesting as an assignment for students but also as an assignment for ourselves to build our knowledge on iPads at the same time as appropriately curating what we find. Have a read of the article and perhaps start your own PLN and we can share the experiences here.

iOS6 has Advertising tracking “On” by default…

The upgrade to iOS 6 for iPads and iPhones has a setting which allows “advertisers” to track your postion and this setting is, by default, enabled.  To find this “feature” go to Settings > General > About > Advertising.  You need to turn the switch “On” to turn this off?
